STONE STEPS....

Cracked...un-even...Sinking...
leading the way Up the Mountain-side.
At the top, a tall Spanish style building:
Light pink stucco, with Dark Wooden Beams and tiled Balcony.
Many doors and Windows;
Others ...also called it Home.
Behind the Heavy Door......
a room.....The STAIRWAY : that Turned so quickly as if to hide it's secret and hold tight it's MAGIC.
It's there....half way to the top, i would sit and Dream, with echos from my guitar...
i'd Sing..

I Could Fly! ( The Choice was Mine)....If i should Choose;

From where i sat....just Stand... lean Down ...and DO IT!
Perhaps...climb to the Top ....

Feet on the steeps... befor... the TURN... KEEP MY SECRET.........Not Alarm Them.
Others also call this Home, They think My Song is SWEET

Night on Lanark

SUMMERTIME.....
i Would Push the mesh screen Out of the window frame... with my warm bare feet.
Lying on my bed , a pillow and a sheet.
i'd listen to the creckets, watch for movement in the trees.
The moon shining through the branches....
FEELING...LONGING....FOR A BREEZE.
MUSIC .............softened by the static;
With the radio ...... i'd hum ..............and Wonder...
{ if.................................. MY Prince Would Ever Come.}
and Then.....
i'd turn my pillow over......Cool....
and hold my tears...... with-in.
